Fortunately, most back pain gets better quite quickly - often within a month - though it's not unusual to still have some niggles.
The following are a few things you can do to help yourself deal with back pain.
- Keep Active - Moving around and doing normal physical activities will not harm your back.
- Modify activities only if they cause severe pain
- Take regular pain relief as directed; don't try to "tough it out"
- Set yourself goals to build up your fitness
- Learn to relax - Muscles get tight and tense if you are stressed
- Return to your everyday, normal activities as soon as possible.
** Note: See your doctor or nearest hospital emergency dept urgently if you have:
- Numbness in the groin or anal area
- Loss of bladder or bowel control
THE BEST PERSON TO MANAGE YOUR LOW BACK PAIN IS YOU!
WE CAN HELP YOU ACHIEVE THIS
