We offer the following Contract Services
t he purpose of this service is to provide early intervention that enables the client to safely return to work, either full or part time or with adjusted duties, while they recover from an injury. This is achieved by identifying any physical, functional or psychosocial barriers to an early return to work. Our staff have postgraduate qualifications in the field of occupational health to ensure that all stakeholder needs are appropriately met. They liaise with the Insurer, Employer, Health Professionals and the Client so the best outcome and timeframe is met for a full return to normal duties. An initial assessment and plan of action is written with regular progress reports until completion.
t his is a one off service where one of our qualified staff visit the work site with the employer and the client to identify any barriers to a return to work and recommend appropriate modifications to assist the process. A full report is presented within 5 working days.
A PFWI is an exercise and cardiovascular programme incorporating education and self management principles of a 6 – 12 week duration. AHS has an on-site Rehabilitation Gym at both clinics that has a strong pilates influence to emphasis core control and “job” specific functional task rehab. There is an initial, mid and completion reporting for this programme.
A FRP is a programme designed to address the pain-related disability factors associated with an injury using a physical activation approach as well as education in self management techniques known to be effective in pain management. AHS has developed a comprehensive collection of pain management education material and use various techniques depending on the presentation of the client. The programme can be from 6-12 weeks in duration and has an initial, mid and completion reporting.
P GAP is a disability prevention programme that targets psychosocial risk factors in clients who suffer from persistent pain. The initial assessment identifies which psychosocial factors present a barrier to rehabilitation through standardised, validated testing methods. The programme proceeds over 10 weeks with activity mobilisation, gradual re-integration into life role activities and behaviour modification techniques for disability factors identified in the assessment.
